Innovus’ President, Marc Hoffman, will speak at the 6th annual Microgrid Global Innovation Forum in Washington, DC, Thursday March 15, 2018.
His presentation, titled “Variable Speed Diesel and Natural Gas Generation for 100% Renewables Integration” discusses technology advances that eliminate the need for storage to provide grid stability for high penetration renewables, therefore significantly lowering the levelized cost of energy.
Specifically, Marc will review the results from a recent installation of a 590kW VSG installation in the community of Aklavik Northwest Territories Canada. He will also discuss the results the Waterloo Institute for Sustainable Energy report, “Feasibility of Variable Speed Generators for Canadian Arctic Communities”.

About the Microgrid Global Innovation Forum:
The 6th Microgrid Global Innovation Forum, March 14-15, 2018 in Washington, D.C., brings together thought leaders, utilities, energy providers, project managers and other stakeholders for two days of focused networking and information sharing concerning the latest technological developments, design, implementation and operation of hybrid renewable energy microgrids. The emphasis is on maximizing the business case for microgrids, integration into the larger grid, and sharing real-world case studies of both grid-tied and off-grid/remote environments.
